About Us
Leigh Eck, Humilitas Founder
Leigh
As Founder and Owner of Humilitas, I have created a space to combine my experience in and passion for innovation, community building, organizational management, strategic planning, programmatic production, and creative exploration of the human narrative.
I am a Stanford-trained Ambassador of Compassion, and have enjoyed a robust professional journey as a performing artist, artistic producer, fundraiser, grantwriter, education director, non-profit organizational leader, and strategist. I have dedicated my time to such critical causes as equity, diversity, and inclusion, youth education and programs, environmental stewardship, food equity, the arts, and advancing social justice via higher education STEM workforce development.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre Performance from the Hartt School, University of Hartford, and am an Usui Method Reiki practitioner.
Having grown up in the foothills of the Adirondacks in Upstate New York, I have a deep respect and love for nature and am passionate about enriching my relationship with the earth by growing food alongside my husband and two young children at our home in La Crosse, Wisconsin (ancestral lands of the Ho-Chunk people).

Our Commitment
Humilitas is dedicated to supporting you and your community to feel more connected through compassion.
Currently in our exploratory phase as a new startup, we are building programmatic offerings that are
rooted in science and the key principles of empathy, compassion, and connection.
